Leeds adoption

The story of this adoptee born in 1966 in Leeds, UK, is a heartwarming example of the power of perseverance and modern technology brining the families together. Born in a mother and baby’s home, she has always known that she was adopted and had longed to know more about her biological family. After taking DNA test it took her half year to find identity of her biological mother due to small genetic matches and very common surname of the maternal family. However, the adoptee’s search for her biological family didn’t end there. She wanted to know identity of her biological father as well as medical history of his family. Father was discovered some days ago and unfortunately he already has passed away never knowing that he had another child.

This was devastating realization for the adoptee, but it didn’t deter her from her search for the other close family members.

The adoptee’s mother has gotten married after the adoption took place and has two more children. The father also got married and had two children himself. The adoptee will very soon try to make contact with her 4 half siblings as well as with her biological mother.

It is difficult to imagine the emotions that the adoptee must be experiencing as she reaches out to her biological family members, but there is hope for a happy ending. 🍀
