I was given task to confirm parents of adoptee let’s call her Jane. Jane found her mother some 20 years ago and then did an ancestry DNA test to try and find her biological father. Fortunately for Jane she had first cousin match on her paternal side of the family and therefore she was able to find identity of her father. Jane’s mother was also born out of wedlock in 1935 in London,UK. Jane wanted me to try and find who her maternal grandfather was. There were two high matches on that side of her mater grandfathe’s family. Both of them never responded to messages but one had partial tree that I could use. The problem is that man who would be their maternal great grandfather, turned out to be somebody else. I did an extensive search just to find that surname Burton was nowhere among the matches. I looked all possible data online and couldn’t find anyone born with that name and that period of time. I then started to build giant family tree trying to connect matches which I even did manage. It turns out that Burton was his adopted surname and real surname was Barter. After that discovery I was easily able to prove that W.G.G. Barter is indeed W.G. Burton . Mr.Burton fathered at the same time two girls. One with his wife and one having the affair with non married woman who was working as a domestic help in the area. Mission accomplished. The highest match of Jane proved out to be her half first cousin once removed . That means Jane and matche’s mum are half cousins. Very happy that I could find him despi him changing his original surname. Jane is now very grateful because she finally know all of her grandparents which she never knew for the last 60 years.
My advice to everyone searching
DONT GIVE UP, THE ANSWERS WILL EVENTUALLY COME TO YOU
Happy hunting everyone!
